I interviewed people around the United Kingdom who have lost one or several limbs and who all experience ‘phantom limb pain’, a phenomena of a sensation where the missing limb is still attached to the body. Interested in the ‘mirror box’ treatment invented by Vilayanur S. Ramachandran, I also talked to a scientist in Cardiff using virtual mirrors and hypnoses in his treatments.
